The sole winner of last week’s $30 million Oz Lotto draw on Tuesday 11 September 2018 has not claimed their prize yet.
The winning ticket was purchased in Sydney’s east, at Pacific Square News in Maroubra. But because the ticket was unregistered, lottery officials are unable to contact the winner.
Anyone who bought their Oz Lotto entry from Pacific Square News are urged to check their tickets because they could be sitting on $30 million.
“Winners have told us previously that they find their unclaimed tickets in the most obvious places and just hadn’t thought to check them,” NSW Lotteries spokeswoman Bronnie Spencer said.
“They could be walking around with the $30 million winning ticket in their back pocket, their handbag or it could be stuck on the fridge right in front of them.”
“If you discover you’re holding the unregistered $30 million division one Oz Lotto winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so we can start the prize claim process,” Ms Spencer said.
The winning numbers for Oz Lotto draw number 1282 were 6, 4, 36, 23, 2, 30 and 32, while the supps were 11 and 27.
This is the third time recently that an unregistered ticket has won a major jackpot and the winner was unaware for days, and in the case of the $55 million Powerball winner from January, even months. It is a great reminder to register your tickets or to buy your tickets online so there is no chance you might lose or misplace something so life-changing.
